Karen Wright

Lead Specialist Paediatric Allergy Dietitian (RD) MSc Allergy

Karen has worked as an Specialist Paediatric Allergy Dietitian at Children’s Allergy Doctors. Karen gained a distinction in the MSc Allergy degree and was awarded the AAIR Holgate Award for Excellence in Allergy from the University of Southampton as is currently doing a PhD in food allergy. In 2021, Karen was awarded the Anthony Frew Award for Excellence in Allergy Education by the British Society of Allergy and Immunology. Karen is also joint chair of the British Dietetic Association Food Allergy Specialist Group.

Anna Petitt

Paediatric Allergy Specialist Dietitian

Anna Pettit is a Paediatric Allergy Specialist Dietitian and part of the Children’s Allergy Doctors multidisciplinary team. She provides tailored nutritional expertise that complements medical care, supporting families in managing food allergies, including oral immunotherapy. A graduate of King’s College London, she also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Allergy from Imperial College.

Alongside her work with Children’s Allergy Doctors, Anna practices within the NHS, supports Allergy UK through telephone clinics, and runs her own private practice. Her clinical interests include the gut microbiome–allergy connection, oral immunotherapy, and adolescent allergy care. Known for her expertise, empathy, and lived experience of food allergies, she is dedicated to ensuring families feel supported and empowered throughout their allergy journey.
